Catch the Vision

  • Ethan Mendoza began the journey towards the creation of Epistle in 2018 when God gave him the vision of a worldwide community of believers connected by a single purpose: to build up Christ-followers who seek to preach the truth of the Gospel of Jesus, not just by word, but by fruit.

This vision begins with the development of an online presence and the formation and structuring of a non-profit, both of which require dedication and resources from a small team.

Epistle is working to be a non-profit that entirely separates operational expenses from ministry campaigns. This gives the organization velocity through rapid private fundraising (known as “The Boat”). It also allows members of the global community to invest directly in future ministry endeavors.

  • Much more is to come following the first Act’s successful implementation of a core following and initial fundraising is met.

The second Act focuses on building the organization into a full-fledged operation. This includes operational expansion, community development, rapid content iteration, and brand awareness merchandising. Each of these items targets a compounding effort to exponentially grow the effectiveness and influence of Epistle as a mission of God to bring Heaven to Earth.

This phase of growth involves an intentional push for the Epistle brand. This “brand” of Episte is a key factor in developing a global movement and harkens back to the original symbol for Christians: a fish.

❯❮❯ - the “Jesus Fish” - In Greek, ἸΧΘΥΣ (pronounced ick-this) was an acronym for a symbol that meant “fish,” which the persecuted Church would use as a secret symbol to show who identified as Christian. What better symbol to identify with as the Church returns to the power of faith of Acts?

This brand carries a unique strategic value as it can be copied and pasted into text forms like Instagram/Facebook bios, comments, titles, and posts. This means that you can represent the movement now! ❯❮❯

  • The building of a global community begins in Act One & Two and will continue to grow for years to come. With this in mind, Act Three focuses on operational expansion through a few key developments: creating an executive leadership team, growing social media opportunities for local gatherings through the Epistle community, and beginning the development of an app that allows for the discovery and planting of micro-churches globally.

  • This Act is the culmination of years of work and strives to have the most broad-reaching impact.

The first aspect of this phase begins with the official launch of the micro-church app (think: AirBnB for finding like-minded believers). Churches that don’t require the overhead expenses of a megachurch can then allocate funds to blessing their communities and developing mission-minded partnerships globally.

The second essential facet of Act Four is launching a philanthropic department that focuses on providing sustainable resolutions for communities in need worldwide. The vision is to share the love of Christ through actions and build relationships that glorify Jesus.

Jesus spoke of a time when saints, young and old, would upend the kingdom of darkness. We’ve waited long enough.

The Boat

As a soon-to-be non-profit, Epistle strives to live by a 100% model, where all funds raised and received for Epistle support future ministry campaigns. This means overhead costs are separately funded by crowdfunding named “The Boat.”
