This boat is wonderfully made, quick to blow up, and fits us great. We still have plenty of leg room with the 3 of us. Its very comfortable with the included cushions pujtting the boat sides at mid-back height.
• Its breaks down to be smaller than an Army duffle and with 7 separate air compartments, you feel very safe from sinking. The material its made from feels very heavy and doesn't discolor or otherwise mar from folding and unfolding of the boat.
  
• This boat is an amazing boat if you want to go for a little stroll through the lake or if you wanna go camping on a nearby island. I easily fit 4 people with plenty of cargo. Great buy and the cheapest one i could find that was this large.

• The sevylor is perfect, I did buy an extra large duffle bag to store it in, it inflates easily with an electric pump, and deflates easily as well. You do need a foot pump or high capacity double throw, hand pump to top it off, the electric pumps won't do.

• Holding 6 people is a far reach, it will hold 3 comfortably, 4 tight, six?? I doubt it. maybe 6 children, but I weigh 210, my 2 sons weigh 165 each, and we were comfortable.
• This boat is ok, but it's not as wide as you would think for being 12 feet long. It's not wide enough for 2 adults to sit side by side, if you are facing straight ahead. Probably not even 2 kids.
  
• This boat is listed as a 6 person boat. but i would call it more like 2 adults and 3 small children or maybe 2 adults and 2 midgets, you could not fit 6 people in here sitting sideways. plus the battery holding bag it came with is very flimsy and tore when i tried to put a battery in it.
  
• It does have several compartments to inflate before use, so I would also recommend getting a high quality automatic pump and not a foot pump or hand pump as you will be at it for quite a while.
  
• It is a great boat for 4 people comfortable (50kg/person), the only thing is that the inflation valves not are threaded, are plastic. The bags are not really relevant. Great for lakes and sea.

• On the lakes we have in each raft 1 adult and 3 kids and they hold up perfectly.
• The first time I inflated this raft I was surprised at how thick the material is and how rigid it becomes when fully inflated.
• I found the intex seahawk 4 is made from 30 gauge material, has more room and holds more weight, given those facts and the lower price.
• Once all three chambers are emptied, you'll find that you can easily roll the boat into a 16-inch diameter, 25-inch length sleeping bag shape, The deflated boat is light enough for an adult to carry a short distance.
• This intex seahawk 4 is great! It says it's a four person boat which normally means it will fit two adults comfortably. We had two adults, two children, lots of stuff, and still had room to spread out. Very sturdy and good quality as well.
• A pretty good product: big enough for four people, really tough plastic, full of really useful gadgets (paddles & pump, plus some cords and pockets).

• The intex seahawk 4 oars are pretty solid, but are too short to use the oar holders & properly row the boat. I've ended up using one & working the boat like a canoe, which works pretty well…but can get tiring;
• Strongly recommend an electric pump for both inflating AND deflating if you want to do so quickly. I picked up an inexpensive one with a DC adapter for $15.00 that did the trick perfectly.
• There is NO carying bag – so you either have to deflate it & put it back in the box (try putting a semi-wet boat back in cardboard, not fun), or figure out another solution. I had an old suitcase w/wheels that I wasn't using, works perfectly!
• One thing that did bug me were the paddles. They come with black circle stoppers to keep the paddles from sliding out of the holders. Those stoppers kept sliding and I would constantly have to push them back down.
• I definitely recommend an electric or battery-operated pump because the boat's three separate air compartments take forever to fill with a hand pump.
• The oars included were solid, but the boat's oar locks didn't seem to work exactly right with the oars.
• The fishing rod holder didn't seem to hold up strong enough to keep the pole from leaning into the water.
• The 4-person rating is reasonable, though if you were thinking of taking four adults on a fishing trip with tackle boxes and a cooler, I wouldn't recommend it; it would soon get uncomfortable.
• The boat comes with two inflatable cushions that look ridiculously inadequate, but they were actually nice to sit on.
• On disembarking, the Boston valves made it easy to deflate the main two chambers, but the floor has a pool-floatie-style valve that's cumbersome to deflate.
• The biggest problem is that the boat is hard to steer with the oars. It does not have swivel oarlocks (the kind that keep your oar fixed and they rotate). You have to keep the oar fixed with your hand and it is a pain.
• Don't venture too far from the shore if you are on a lake, because you will not get back if there is any kind of wind. Also make sure you have an anchor so that if there is wind you can at least stay in the same place and don't go away from the shore.  I guess if you plan to put a motor (which i don't) on the boat, then you will be fine.  
• It is kind of hard to fish from the boat with more than one fishing rod, because you can't stand up in the boat and the boat moves all the time because of the waves (even with a big anchor).

Intex Excursion 4 Pros

As far as this class of inflatable boats, its the best I have been in. The intex excursion seats are large and very comfortable. The boat is big, wide, very stable and is easy to row with only 2 oars even with 2 guys in it weighing over 200lbs. As many inflatables, takes waves really well but wind and current slows it down. So its ok as a lake or seashore boat and it does well in inland waterways too. Boat that could be stored easily and compactly was a must.

The material of intex excursion seems to be heavy duty, and you do not feel like it could rupture at anytime. The listed capacity for this boat is 880 lbs and with only about 400 lbs (2 people and gear) it floats surprisingly high out of the water which makes it feel like a boat and not a pool toy.

As an added bonus it uses a double hull design and as stated in the included materials even if the main (exterior hull completely deflates the craft can stay afloat. The included pump works, if you are using this every weekend you may want to upgrade. I found the included oars functional and they seem to be holding up well. A great advantage of an inflatable is the storage it is fairly compact especially given the overall size of the boat, and it actually fits back in its included carry bag with no problems. We even had enough space left in the carry bag to store two life vests. Intex Excursion is good for the following:-

• Ideal for boating in lakes needing towing capacity of ~800 LB.
• GOOD boat for fishing, and nice smooth ride in lake.
• Does what it says taking 4 people.

Intex Excursion 4 Cons

My only complaint for intex excursion is that the oars are short. They work just fine, but it's awkward to keep them in unison because the width of the boat with oars in the water keep the handle spread at your left and right sides, not in front of you at all. Before I use it again, I think I'll invest in some longer oars.

It says it seats four people–maybe if two are kids! However, it does fit three adults very comfortably.

The intex excursion 4 is maneuverability in the wind. It is much easier to handle on a calm day, so if you live in a windy area an inflatable may not be for you.
The raft has been great, but would be VERY crowded with 4 people. As with any advertised amount of people, I feel as though, unless you are rafting with little kids, having 4 people on this raft would be a little crowded for a long haul.

Intex 4 person mariner inflatable boat set Pros

Intex makes a nice air pump that will inflate this intex 4 person in about 3 minutes; you need a 400 watt or better inverter to run the pump. My inverter clips to my battery and does the job really well, it can be in the water in about 10 to 15 minutes once I park next to the water.

It's light and fun to go out on the water, it's a great introductory inflatable boat if you don't have one, if you can stay away from obstacles of any sort, you will have a great time. The solid floor on the Mariner makes it seem even more spacious than its dimensions (which are generous) would indicate. The big flat floor that you don't sink into makes every square inch of floor useable. Plus, any water that splashes in quickly drains away beneath the floor, so you don't get a wet butt if you sit on the floor.

The Intex 4 person is super comfortable with 3 people, a bit tight with 4, and the seats work really well. The most amazing thing to me about this intex 4 person is the hard floor, which allows you to STAND in this inflatable boat. (Absolute truth, even me at 190 pounds. My 130lb sons could dance the watusi in it.)

Set up is a breeze. Takes about 10 minutes. The dual action manual pump included is also amazing. Can't believe how quickly it inflates the boat. I've found it handy for other inflatable around the house, as well. I picked this boat because it has a stirdy floor, it works great. It's easy to setup and put away.
Overall it seems strong and durable enough for this price.

The durability is also great. Very thick material that will not easily get holes in it. The cushion/seats things are the same way. We sturdy material. Great boat for the money. A well-made, economical boat to have on your sailboat for anchoring here and there, or to take out to the lake/river/bay for a day of casual fishing.
It takes me about 15-20 minutes to setup and pump and the boat. The pumping and rowing is a great workout. I would say that this is good for 2 adults and 2 small children on a calm day. I carry the rollup floor and the boat separately.

This is the only boat in its price range with a rigid floor(there is a huge price difference between this and the next cheapest boat you can find with rigid floors) which really does make all the difference in the world when spending any stretch of time on the water. I am a big guy at 220 lbs, and it wasn't comfortable, but I managed to stand up completely in this raft(with a PFD), which is not possible at all in an inflatable-bottom vessel.

The inflatable keel is great for speed and maneuverability

The solid oar locks(not warlocks, this thing was spell-fee) are a huge plus, and make rowing much more effective than rubber oar holders, with your energy going into the water, not into flexing the raft or rubber rings. They quickly flip up and lock into the boat(2 seconds total), allowing ample room for 2 people to comfortably fish without oar handles in the way, or oars in the water affecting the boats movement.

The inflatable seats were even comfortable and heavy-duty, although I recommend some back support, I used my backpack for a little bit of lovin' in the lumbar zone.

This intex 4 person inflatable boat is tough and roomy; beats all other inflatables I've tried. The removable rigid floor makes standing and casting possible (though probably not recommended.) Though rated for 4 persons that would be a bit crowded. However, there is plenty of room for 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 children plus gear and still leave enough elbow room to actually cast and reel in the big one.

The oars are a bit flimsy. They are already bent after the first time use. It's not easy to row with one person. Boat it easy to nick when deflated, HANDLE WITH CARE when it isn't inflated.

After punching holes in the bottom so many times on branches and rocks, I’m hesitant to take this boat on any type of float trip on real shallow waters where it will drag the bottom.

This boat is not fish hook proof. Fish hooks go right through it with the greatest of ease. The vinyl is super sturdy when inflated, but when it is deflated, and folded, that creates sharp corners at the folds. Rub that against something abrasive, and voila, leak. (Voice of experience) I don't consider this worthy of dropping the rating, as it was my carelessness that damaged the boat, but you really need to be careful transporting when folded up, and if you can store it flattened out, I would think that would be safest.
